As you may know, I sit on the Board of the UHN Foundation and on the weekend of April 30 to May 2, I am excited to be participating with my family in ‘Give a Shift’, an event the Foundation is running to honour the hard work and dedication of the healthcare heroes at UHN. As you have been seeing in the news, this 3rd wave is very hard on our healthcare professionals. We want to let them know they have our steadfast support.
To honour the healthcare heroes, My family and I are going to spend 12 hours of our time, the length of a typical shift at the hospital, performing activities that are intended to mimic what a front line worker experiences during their shift.
