Hi everyone :)
I was treated for AFib (Atrial Fibrillation) successfully in May 2022 at the Toronto General Hospital/Peter Munk Cardiac Centre (part of UHN - University Health Network). Cardiologist Dr. Andrew Ha and his team performed a successful ablation and stopped the AFib. It's quite extraordinary. I've been able to do all my activities free of AFib symptoms such as my heart beating at 150 bpm for 8 hours.
This fundraiser is my way of giving back, saying thank you and hoping you will donate so that more people can benefit from this kind of treatment.
The money will go specifically to the Pacemaker/Defibrillator Clinic which provides diagnostic testing which can help doctors find many heart rhythm disorders, called arrhythmias. And they treat these arrhythmias with various methods including the ablation which is what I got. An ablation involves inserting thin, flexible wire-like tools called catheters into blood vessels in the heart through the leg. The purpose is to cause and interrupt the abnormal rhythm's electrical pathway. This is the link to the clinic:
