Since my stage 4 cancer diagnosis in November of 2022, I have had multiple admissions at Toronto General Hospital, including on the Surgical Ongology Floor: 10 Eaton South. All patients on this floor have undergone or are undergoing surgery for their cancer.
The staff on this unit are incredibly attentive and caring. They go above and beyond to make their patients feel comfortable and do everything they can to get you back home as safely and soon as possible.
Together, we were able to raise enough money so that a blanket warmer could be installed on the unit, to help provide additional comfort to those spending time recovering. The staff were so appreciative, and it was a phenomenal experience to be a part of thanks to all of you! We were also able to replace the patient fridge as well as some broken laundry hampers on the unit.
Going forward, I would like to continue to support this floor. All donations to this page will go to my upcoming initiative, which is to be determined at this time. UHN has ensured that all funds will directly go to this floor, as requested.
