Please join us and help us achieve our goal of raising $75,000 to help families impacted by inheritable heart disease that can cause sudden cardiac arrest, which is often fatal. This disease is referred to as arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy or ARVC.
It is only through research that we can hope to understand this disease and prevent families from the devastating effects of ARVC through early detection and treatment, before another life is lost.
This support of $75,000 will directly enable the recruitment of a Fellow that will focus on advancing this research. At the Peter Munk Cardiac Centre, Fellows apply and come from all over the world to research the most complex cases in cardiovascular care. Supporting a Fellow dedicated to ARVC research means finding solutions to address ARVC and improve outcomes for people living with this disease.
The first sign of ARVC can be the last, and the biggest risk to those who have it is not knowing that they do. When you donate to our fundraising initiative, you are helping to fund the groundbreaking research to make this early detection possible.
