Welcome to the 7th Annual ANNIE'S PACE GLOBAL ADVENTURE (APGA)!! Where your life is worth 1 hour a day!
THIS YEAR'S ADVENTURE IS: MAY 23-26, 2025!
I'm a personal trainer and fitness instructor of 30 years, who ten years ago at the age of 48 was diagnosed with a very rare, incurable and life-threatening heart disease, Cardiac Sarcoidosis (and systemic Sarcoidosis).
My life as I knew it came to an abrupt halt when I was first diagnosed with Cardiac Sarcoidosis. I was told that my heart was very, very sick. I had my first ICD (pacemaker and defibrillator) implanted on emergency in 2015 (& a 2nd one in 2018 due to complications with the first one one). Since then I've had countless procedures, tests and surgeries and I take many medications daily to help sustain me. Unfortunately the cardiac sarcoidosis scarred my heart so I'm in full heart block (pacemaker dependent), BUT, I don't let this stop me from living life the best that I can, every single day. I'm preparing now for the next step which is either a new ICD or a 'next step up' in conductive therapy for the deterioration of my left ventricle.

APGA is a 4 day, All-Abilities Adventure that occurs the last weekend of May every year. It unites the WORLD for 4 days in health & fitness and heart health awareness!
The goal during these 4 days (& lifetime), is to exercise for 1 HOUR/DAY, OR,... Test Your Limits along with myself and exercise as long as you can each of the 4 days!
My marathon walking days are now over (I used to walk 160+km over those 4 days on a treadmill) but I still test my limits by continuing to move anyway I can. MOTION IS LOTION. MOVEMENT IS KEY! Just keep moving!
All donations go to the Test Your Limits Initiative at the Peter Munk Cardiac Centre: “The funds raised will be for support of heart disease and heart failure research. 100% of your support will go directly towards making research in heart failure and transplantation possible."
APGA also spreads awareness to the importance of Organ Donation. And, APGA has raised $25,000/6 years for UHN foundation for heart failure research and cardiac transplantation!
I hope to inspire and help you achieve the best version of yourself daily and choose courage over comfort and fear!
Can you please help and make a donation today. My heart and all the other sick hearts out there thank you!
Smiles & Sunshine,
Annie
