Hello!
Welcome to the 6th Annual ANNIE'S PACE GLOBAL ADVENTURE (APGA), May 24-27, 2024!! ARE YOU AS EXCITED AS I AM?
I'm Annie Smith - a Personal Trainer & Group Fitness Instructor of 29 years. In 2015, my life as I knew it came to an abrupt halt. I became a heart patient when I was diagnosed with a very rare, incurable, life-threatening heart disease, Cardiac Sarcoidosis (& systemic Sarcoidosis). I had an ICD (pacemaker and defibrillator) implanted on emergency. I had and continue to have, many procedures, tests, surgeries along with taking many medications to help sustain my heart and keep the inflammation off it along with other heart issues.
In 2019 I created APGA with the hope of increasing heart health awareness worldwide; showing that it can happen to anyone, especially someone with a 'fit heart' and how to keep moving forward living the 'new you', the best that you can instead of giving up!
APGA is 3 things:
1) It's a 4 day, all-abilities physical adventure. People participate from around the world, exercising for a minimum of 1 hour a day (doing any activity for their heart health), every day for the same 4 days. OR, 'Test Your Limits' like myself and exercise as long as you can every day for the 4 days! Uniting the WORLD in heart health awareness!
NEW THIS YEAR!!
I'm hosting a 5 HOUR AEROBATHON HEART FUNDRAISER on Day 2 of APGA! Saturday, May 25, 2024 from 10am-3pm at the Cavan Monaghan Community Centre (CMCC) in Millbrook.
Come out and support APGA and experience up to 5 hours of fitness classes taught by myself! Attend for as little or as long as you like - maybe Test Your Limits alongside myself and do all 5 hours.
Strength, cardio, flexibility, mindfulness. You name it I'll be teaching it.
A variety of classes in intervals of 30 minutes long.
Join in anytime and come move your body and take care of your heart!
ADMISSION: Donation to APGA!!
Help spread the word!
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!! Please email me @: doyouevenliftmom@gmail.com to learn how you can support & help APGA in this amazing 6th annual adventure!
2) It's a heart fundraiser. All donations go to Dr. Heather Ross' Test Your Limits (TYL) Initiative at the Peter Munk Cardiac Centre (PMCC) at University Health Network (UHN) in Toronto. The TYL campaign strives to make an impact in heart failure research, heart health and cardiac transplantation and has raised $4M since 2006!
“The funds raised will be for support of heart disease and heart failure research. 100% of your support will go directly towards making research in heart failure and transplantation possible."
APGA has raised $21,000 in 5 years for Test Your Limits!
The 2024 goal is $5,000.
3) APGA encourages organ donation. You can save 8 lives my signing up for organ donation, so please, if you haven't already, sign up today. Thank you!
